The meeting (and the registration) takes place at the South Campus of the KIT, in the Tulla Lecture hall. Type Tulla Hörsaal Karlsruhe in google maps and you will get your directions. Download your campus map here or use the interactive one. The address of the University is: Kaiserstrasse 12, 76131 Karlsruhe. If you wish to come by car, you can park outside the Campus along the street at the Adenauer Ring. Its a 10 min walk from there. Otherwise you need to go to a parking lot close to the Castle, but there you have to pay.

XI International Fungal Biology Conference (Sept. 29 - Oct. 3, 2013) in Karlsruhe, Germany
We are happy to announce the upcoming XI International Fungal Biology Conference in Karlsruhe, Germany. This international conference series started in 1965 and was held since then in irregular intervals at the following places:

The aim of this Conference series was always to especially focus on exciting new fields at the frontiers of fungal biology. These fields are often developed by young scientists, who will be therefore especially be chosen as speakers. The meeting will be organized by a local committee and the international steering committee. We are trying to put up a most interesting program with speakers from all over the world. The program should be complementary to other recent fungal biology meetings, such as the Asilomar Fungals Genetics , the European Fungal Genetics and the recent Gordon Conferences. In addition, there will be multiple opportunities for young scientists to present their work in Concurrent Sessions as well as in Poster presentations. The meeting will be combined with the biannual German Molecular Mycology meeting.

Karlsruhe is located in the South of Germany and is amongst the warmest areas. It is located in the Rhine valley just at the border with France. Two mountain areas are close by, the beautiful Black Forest and the Pfalz, a lovely area well known for its wines. In an excursion during the meeting you will have the opportunity to get an impression of this wine region and taste some selected wines. The timing of the conference coincides perfectly with the wine harvest, and you will see the colorful autumn forests of the Pfalz.
